Recommended marking for excluded lamps For lamp types as listed in Clauses to it is recommended that packaging and accompanying product information state clearly and prominently their purpose and that they are not intended for general purpose Illumination. 1.2 Application This document shall be read in conjunction with AS/NZS 4934.1. 1.3 Normative references The following documents are referred to in the text in such a way that some or all of their content constitutes requirements of this document. AS/NZS 4934.1, Incandescent lamps ór general lighting service, Part 1: Test methods—Energy Performance 1.4 Terms and definitions For the purposes of this document, the terms and definitions given in AS/NZS 4934.1 apply. ISO and IEC maintain terminological databases for use in standardization at the following addresses: IEC Electropedia: available at CIE e-lL.V — International Lighting Vocabulary http/ 2 Performance and marking requirements 2.1 General This document does not apply to the safety requirements that are covered in the AS/NZS 60432 series or to other performance requirements that are covered In IEC 60064. The performance criteria set out in Clauses 2.3 to 26 shall apply using minimum sample sizes set out in Clause 2.2. A test report shall show conformance to this document in accordance with AS/NZS 4934.1 for each model tested. This shall contain the applicable information specified in Appendix A. NOTE The test values arc used to determine conformance to this document. 2.2 Number of samples The minimum sample sizes required for each test in the performance criteria set out in Clauses2.3 to 2, in accordance with AS/NZS 4934.1 shall be as follows: (a) Initial efficacy: minimum sample size is 10. (b) Minimum median life: minimum sample size is 20. A.1 General This appendix specifies the minimum information to he provided in test reports. A.2 Test report A test report shall demonstrate conformance to this document in accordance with AS/NZS 4934.1 for each model tested. The test report shall contain the applicable information specified In this appendix. NOTE Regulatory authorities may undertake verification tests to check conformance to this document. A.3 Laboratory and equipment The following Information about the laboratory and equipment used In testing shall be provided: (a) Name of test laboratory. (b) Date(s) and location of test. (c) Name of technician(s) performing the test. (d) Relevant accreditation(s) (where applicable). (e) Description of test equipment used, together with most recent calibration dates and types of calibration undertaken. (f) Number of samples tested. (g) Test voltage. (h) Lamp ageing period, Including details of any samples which failed during ageing. (i) Ambient temperature adjacent to test lamp. Statement on uncertainty for each measured parameter. A.4 Test Standards The following information about the Standards used to demonstrate conformance shall be provided: (a) Test Standards and editions used. (b) Document any permitted variations. (c) Document any non-conformance or deviations.
