ISO 10392:1992 pdf download – Road vehicles with two axles — Determination of centre of gravity.
ISO 10392 specifies a method to determine the location of the centre ci gravity ci a road vehicle, as defined in ISO 3833, wIth Iwo axIes Other procedures may exist and be used, employing more elaborate and sophisticated methods arid equipment, such as tilt-tables and crdIes

3 Test conditions
3.1 Operating and other liquids
The fuel tank shall be completely kill II the displacement of of her liquids (operating and other) due to the inclination of the vehicle, as measured in clause 4, Ic considered siqnilicanl, Ihis shall be taken Into account.
3.2Loading conditions,suspension andmechanical parts
Any load shall be heldin place to avoid displace-ment due to the inclination of the vehicle.
After loading the vehicle to the desired loading con-ditions, the wheel suspension shall be blocked toavoid changes in deflection due lo the inclination ofthe vehicle. This may also apply to other vehiclecomponents which could alfect the test result due toflexible mounting.
When lining the vehicle. the gear-box shall be inneutral. The parking-brake sha be released; rollingof the wheels of one axle only shall be avoided bywedges or other means. The front wheels shall re-main pointing straight ahead as far as possible.
4Measuring procedure
4.1with the vehicle horizontal, and in accordancewith the dimensions given in ISO612 and ISO 8855.measure and record:
4.2Lint one axle in steps (three or more steps arerecommendect). Record the axle load of the otheraxle and the lifting angle for each position. Themaximum lifting angle depends upon the accuracyof the scale which is used to measure the axle load.t shall be llarge enough to provide the accuracy re-quired in clause 5.
4.3To lake the hysteresis into account, lower thelifted axle by steps back to the level position andrecord axle loads and linting angle as described asabove.
4.4 Plot the axle loads and the tangent of the cor-responding lining angles and determine the meanwalue of axle load for a corresponding lifting angle.
4.5lt is recommended that all the measurementsbe repeated lifting the other axle.
4.6it may also be desirable to determine the lintingangle from the wheelbase and the elevation of thewheels above the ground for each inclination pos-ition. In this case the change in tyre delormationcaused by liming one end of the vehicle shall betaken into consideration.
5 Accuracy of determined parametersThe following accuracies are required.
